SPCA Tshwane logo

Serving animals of all types in the greater Tshwane municipality, the Tshwane SPCA struggles to make ends meet without any government or municipal funding whatsoever. We need you to help the animals!

The Tshwane SPCA cares for cats and dogs, farm animals, wildlife and working animals, as well as for animals used for sport, research, entertainment, exhibitions and consumption.

We do this through:
• Preventing cruelty to animals and confiscating abused or neglected animals.
• Enforcing laws that protect animal rights through our inspectorate.
• Providing caring treatment and comfortable shelter for neglected and abandoned animals that are admitted to our Animal Care Centre.
• Providing veterinary care to the animals of poor communities.
• Promoting the humane and compassionate care of animals through education and awareness programmes.
• Finding loving and caring homes for animals through our adoption service.
• Reuniting lost animals with their owners through our lost-and-found service.
• Sterilisation campaigns to reduce the overpopulation of animals.
• Disaster relief to save animals affected by natural disasters, motor accidents and so forth.
